Chinese Embroidery and Painting of Birds
Item Details
A pair of Chinese artworks, one embroidery and one watercolor painting on silk. The painting depicts a small songbird on the branch of a cherry blossom tree with bamboo leaves in the background. There is a signature reading ‘yun jia’ (雲加) and a red seal to the upper left. The embroidered piece is hand-stitched and depicts two red-crowned cranes standing on a branch with fanned leaves and small pink buds with white flowers. It is unsigned. Both pieces are presented behind glass in black painted wood frames that have a faux bamboo finish and wire to the verso for hanging.

- stains to both textile grounds more, significantly to smaller item; nicks and wear to frames; stains and wear to versos.
