Antique Ornately Carved Victorian Upholstered Sofa

An antique Victorian upholstered sofa. This piece showcases a carved frame with an ornate crest. The pierced crest features two carved birds, an arch with a flowering bush and a violin. The sofa is button tufted with a scalloped top edge. Between the back and the wide arched sides are carved spandrels. The couch has three removable cushions, a scalloped apron, and stands on six tapered legs with spade feet. The four front legs are carved in a low relief design and the apron has panels of carved daisies. The couch is upholstered in a tone-on-tone rose colored woven fabric and trimmed in orange gimp. Included two accent pillows covered in the same fabric. The couch is unmarked.
