Three Sepia Tone Photogravures of Famed Paintings
Item Details
A collection of three sepia tone photogravures on paper after famed paintings. The first is after an original 1513-1514 oil painting on canvas by Italian Old Master Raphael titled Madonna della seggiola. The second is after an original 1625 oil painting on canvas by famed Dutch artist Frans Hals (1583 – 1666), titled Youth with a Mandolin. The third is after an original 1626 oil painting on canvas also by Hals titled The Smoker. All of the prints’ titles are printed to their lower margins. The prints are presented without matting or framing, awaiting your choice of presentation.
Condition
- significant water damage and light yellowing across prints. Dark spotty accretion.
