A pair of Chinese black lacquered boxes with mother of pearl inlaid decoration. One box features two compartments to the interior with a brass lined ash receiver on one side. This box is decorated with two birds perched on limbs with diamond shaped accents. Also featured is a black lacquered jewelry and music box with engraved brass hardware and inlaid cherry blossom motif. The music box is tested and working. It has a mirrored top, red fabric lining and a removable tray.
