A hand-knotted Kashan wool prayer rug. This prayer rug features a palette of crimson, indigo, ivory, sky blue, saffron, sage, and ochre; beginning with a mihrab supported by a pair of columns, and displaying a chandelier, a tree of life motif, and avian motifs, with surrounding flowers. The crimson and indigo field is framed in a flowering arch and column border, along with a pair of floral guard borders. This beautiful rug is finished with overcast selvedges and a natural warp knotted ivory fringe. Unlabeled.
