Two Daniel Rice and James G. Clark Hand-colored Lithographs

Two hand-colored lithographs on paper after illustrations by Daniel Rice and James G. Clark. The first print, Waa-Top-E-Not published in 1843, features the portrait of a Native American man with the top half of his face painted red and a solitary feather adorning his hair. The second print, Tshi-Zun-Hau-Kau published in 1842, depicts the portrait of a Winnebago man. He is dressed in red, with a silver medallion around his neck, a tomahawk in one hand and a staff in the other. The title and publishing information are printed to the lower margin of each. Presented in white matting.

Condition

- toning and scattered foxing to prints. Light creasing to Tshi-Zun-Hau-Kau. Stains to mats. Damage to mat corners.
