A pair of vintage wooden Thai figurines. This array features two hand carved and painted Southeast Asian figurines. The male figurine features expressive facial features, a gold toned tiered collar, and a pink outfit embellished with black, red, and white linear designs. He stands on a square wood base, which is marked ’ ’ in white paint. The female form features long black hair topped with a headpiece, an intricately carved dress and jacket with shoulder embellishments, and has her arms in front of her, and has bare feet. There are no visible maker’s marks to either piece.
Condition
- to fair; significant wear to wood and finish of female figurine; slight wear to finish of male figurine; multiple scratch guards on the underside of the female figurine.
