A pair of Meiji-era Japanese geography textbooks. This collection includes volume 5 of Sekai Kunizukushi (世界國盡, All the Countries of the World, For Children Written in Verse) by Fukuzawa Yukichi (福沢諭吉), which focuses on the geography of the Americas and Australia and was published by Keio University of Tokyo circa 1869; and Shin Chishi, Maki 3 (新地誌 巻三, New Choreography, Volume 3) by Yamada Yusuke (山田行元), published by Uehara Keiichiro of Tokyo in 1894. Both books are bound in paper, and both include fold-out maps; Sekai Kunizukushi also features numerous small black-and-white illustrations of places and people.
