A hand-colored engraving on paper printed from the original 1858 plate carved by well-listed English printmaker Frederick Stacpoole (1813 – 1907) after an original painting by well-listed painter and printmaker Richard Ansdell (1815 – 1885), titled The English Gamekeeper. The print depicts a man and his hunting dogs standing near several rabbits and birds that they have killed. The artists’ names and print information are printed without matting or framing, awaiting your choice of presentation.

Condition

- creasing, warping, and ripping to margins, including a large chunk missing from lower right corner. Light water damage to lower left.
