Hand-Knotted and Embroidered Nomadic Turkish Yastik Bolster Cover
Item Details
A hand-knotted and embroidered nomadic Turkish wool yastik or bolster cover. The rectangular rug features an asymmetrical pattern of black cruciform devices on a variegated red madder field. At one end is a skirt with black, red and white, and black and white checkered stripes. The selvedges are double overcast in natural brown wool. There is short natural wool fringe at each end. A label with an identification number is stapled to the underside of the piece.
