A hand-knotted Persian Kashan wool accent rug. This rug features a palette of cranberry, indigo, ivory, sky blue, rose, saffron, and olive, beginning with a central diamond medallion on a cranberry field filled with floral and foliate motifs, displaying indigo and ivory spandrels. The field is framed with a main herati patterned border, and a pair of meandering carnation guards. The rug is finished with overcast selvedges and a short natural warp ivory fringe.
