Handwoven Greek Wool Area Rug

Item Details

A handwoven wool area made in Greece. The rectangular rug features a pale blue field populated by a repeating pattern of sprays of flowers and foliage. The daisy-like flowers are worked in shades of faded gold, faded curry, and ivory with coffee brown centers. The stems and leaves are in muted shades of green. The borders consist of bands of pale gold and green. The rug is backed in burlap and has a tag attached for ‘Hand Made in Greece/Their Majesties Fund/ El Venizelou 2/Athens’.
