A collection of six antique botanical engravings and stone lithographs created from 1828-33 by very well-listed German botanist Christian Gottfried Daniel Nees von Esenbeck (1776 – 1858) for publication is his collection Plantae officinales: Plantae medicinales oder Sammlung offizineller Pflanzen. The prints included are titled Lecanora tartarea Ach., Cetraria islandica Ach., Polyporus fuaveolens Fr., Parmelia parietina Ach., Euphorbia canariensis, and Rheum palmatum Lin. The prints’ titles are printed to their lower margins. The pieces are presented without matting or framing, awaiting your choice of presentation.
