A collection of six antique botanical engravings created from 1828-33 by very well-listed German botanist Christian Gottfried Daniel Nees von Esenbeck (1776 – 1858) for publication is his collection Plantae officinales: Plantae medicinales oder Sammlung offizineller Pflanzen. The prints included are titled Curcuma aromatica Salstb., Glaucium flavum Dec., Choerophyllum bulbosum Lin., Artemisia Abrotanum Lin., Cynanchum Arghel, Del. Solenostemma Argel, Hayne., and Carlina acaulis Lin. The prints’ titles are printed to their lower margins. The pieces are presented without matting or framing, awaiting your choice of presentation.
