A set of 800 silver flatware by M. H. Wilkens & Söhne. This set consisting of forty-eight items includes six dinner forks, six dessert forks, six tablespoons spoons, six place spoons and four teaspoons. Also included are six dinner knives, six dessert knives, six butter knives, one carving fork and one carving knife, all with hollow handles. The handles of the flatware feature a laurel wreath framing a crown and cross crest and reeded accents down the stem. The pieces are marked, ‘Foehr 800,’ followed by a maker’s mark, crescent moon and crown hallmark. The total approximate weight, excluding the knives is 47.28 ozt.
