A collection of six antique botanical engravings created from 1828-33 by very well-listed German botanist Christian Gottfried Daniel Nees von Esenbeck (1776 – 1858) for publication is his collection Plantae officinales: Plantae medicinales oder Sammlung offizineller Pflanzen. The prints included are titled Rheum undulatum Lin., Sisymbium Nasturtium, Prunus spinosa, Spiraea ulmuaria., A Tonidium brevicaule Mart. B. Tonidium urticaesolium Mart. C. Tonidium circaeoides HK. , and Pistacia Terebinthus Lin.The prints’ titles are printed to their lower margins. The pieces are presented without matting or framing, awaiting your choice of presentation.
