Early 20th Century Gothic Style Throne Arm Chair

An early 20th century Gothic style throne arm chair. The chair frame is fabricated with cherry wood detailed with elements of both Gothic and East Lake periods. The back and seat are upholstered in green gray floral fabric trimmed with braided welting. The ‘crown like’ fluted and turned wood finial which adorn the back of the chair are removable. The cherry wood arms are straight and end with ball finials. The wood is stained with a warm, medium cherry toned stain. Companion to chair item # 17DCC190-209 and chair #17DCC190-213 in this sale.

Condition

Overall the wood frame is in good shape consistent with use and age. There is a split in the wood on the upper portion of the chair by the finial. The fabric on the upholstery is torn, and the springs are protruding from the underside as shown in the photo.
