19th Century Gothic Revival Side Chair

Item Details

A 19th century Gothic Revival mahogany side chair with upholstered back support and seat cushion. The wood back is detailed with carved arches, tracery, turned finials, turned scroll arms, turned legs ending with caster feet. The spring seats are over upholstered in a dark brown coated linen fabric. The mahogany is a stained a deep, dark brown.

• The chair is being sold to benefit the Warren County Historical Museum.

Condition

Overall, in good shape consistent with use and age. The wood has some finish loss, scratches and nicks. The coated linen fabric has been nailed on to the spring seat.
