A collection of six antique botanical engravings created from 1828-33 by very well-listed German botanist Christian Gottfried Daniel Nees von Esenbeck (1776 – 1858) for publication is his collection Plantae officinales: Plantae medicinales oder Sammlung offizineller Pflanzen. The prints included are titled Bonplandia trifoliata Willd., Anthemis nobilis Lin., Cochlearia officinalis, Carum carvi Lin., Arctium majus Schk., and Arctium bardana Willd. The prints’ titles are printed to their lower margins. The pieces are presented without matting or framing, awaiting your choice of presentation.
