Item Details
A pair of two silver gelatin carte-de-visite portraits of a man and woman. The photograph of the woman in a paisley shawl with a parasol is dated to the early to mid 1860s. The piece was produced by the W. O’Connor Studio in Toronto, Canada. To the verso of the man’s portrait, the sitter is identified as Moung Po Mai (Burma, India 1849 – Pennsylvania, United States 1878), circa 1874 – 1878. Photographed by the William M. Ginter studio of Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
Condition
- slight edge wear to the corners of the cards; chemical discoloration to the photograph of the woman; foxing to the photograph and card of Moung Po Mai.
