A collection of three 1858 hand-colored stone lithograph botanical illustrations by very well-listed German-Dutch botanist and illustrator Carl Ludwig Blume (1796 – 1862). The illustrations are from the artist’s 1858-59 publication Collection des Orchidées les plus remarquables de l’Archipel Indien et du Japon. The prints included are plates 41, 33, and 44 and are titled, respectively, Tropidia Squamata. Tr. Assamica. Tr. Graminea._, Hetaeria Cristata, and Corymborchis Thouarsii. Chlorosa Latifolia. Thelymitra Javanica. The prints’ title are printed to their lower margins, and areas of the plants throughout are numbered and labeled. The prints are presented without matting or framing, awaiting your choice of presentation.

Condition

- light yellowing, foxing, denting, and ripping across all prints. Large area of dark water damage to upper right corner of one print.
