A vintage Soviet lacquered palekh box depicting symbols from the folk tale of The Frog Princess. This box is signed, numbered, and titled in Cyrillic to the lower edge, and is dated 1976. It is marked ‘Made in USSR’ to the verso. A vintage newspaper clipping about the art of Russian palekh lacquerware is included.
