A group of United States Bicentennial fist day cover postage stamps and medallions. This group of eight items features two first day covers of the United States eight cent colonial craftsmen stamp issued at Williamsburg, Virginia on July 4, 1972 each with a gold tone medallion depicting George Washington to the obverse and a tree with ‘Sons of Liberty’ to the obverse. Also included are three first day covers of the United States ten cent colonial military stamps issued at Washington, D.C. on July 4, 1975 each with a gold tone medallion with Paul Revere to the obverse and two first day covers of the United States Bicentennial era ten cent stamps issued at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on July 4, 1974 each with a gold tone medallion with John Adams to the obverse and one first day cover of the United States eight cent Boston tea party stamp issued at Boston, Massachusetts on July 4, 1973 with a gold tone medallion with Samuel Adams and Patrick Henry to the obverse. Each first day issue has a block of four stamps.
