This painting depicts a bearded man wearing a radial patterned, cobalt blue kimono standing in an action stance, readying his sword with one hand. To the lower left corner of the composition is an artist seal. The painting is presented under matting in a stained red wooden frame with an ornate bracket to the verso for hanging.

Condition

- glass was broken in transit and removed; some scratches and nicks to painting; nicks and scratches around the frame.
