Four Antique Hand-colored Aquatint Etchings of Medieaval Figures

A collection of four early 19th century hand-colored aquatint etchings that have been removed from a publication. Each depicts the colorful dress of historical figures from the Medieval period, including Anglo Saxon Women of the VIII Century, Habits of Ladies in the reign of Henry III, A Lady & Gentleman in Summer Dresses and Costume of a Young Nobleman of the reign of King Henry III. Each was etched by J. Atkinson after an original image by Charles Smith and published by Colnaghi & Co., London. Presented as a collection of loose prints. Each has a number wrtten in graphite to the lower right corner.
Condition
- toning and scattered light stains to prints. Small tears to corners and edges where they were removed from publication.
