Item Details

A pair of high relief oval porcelain tiles, one a mirrored version of the other, of a courting 18th-century couple. These pieces are rendered in pinks, blues, and greens, and depict a long-haired young man approaching a lady against a tree-lined background. Both appear to be unmarked and are mounted against a dark yellow backing in molded gold tone frames that are wired for hanging.

Condition

- dirt pockets on porcelain pieces; large crack in one porcelain background; general wear to frames.
