An early to mid 20th century oil painting on cut canvas adhered to panel signed ‘Reno’. The piece depicts the portrait of a girl in 19th-century attire kneeling before a large burial monument in a wooded setting. The painting is rendered in a palette of rich green, red, blue and brown hues. The work appears to be signed ‘Reno’ in brown paint to the lower center. It is presented without glass in a gilt wooden frame with linen liner, fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- minor craquelure and surface wear to painting; slight scuffing and corner wear to frame.
