A power loomed Pakistani Peshawar area rug. This wool rug is hand-knotted in a tea-washed palette of cream, camel, rust, and taupe. It features a crisply woven harshang pattern consisting of large palmettes, lancet leaves, flowers, and vines over a cream-colored field. Framing the field are five borders including a primary herati border over taupe. The primary border is flanked by meandering floral minor borders over camel and salmon as well as an outer guard border of cream. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at either end with tan wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
