Item Details
An oil painting on canvas of a musician. This well-rendered painting depicts a nude woman draped in red cloth and a foliate headband seated against a textured, earthen toned background. She looks off-center, strumming a nyatiti with one hand. This stringed instrument is indigenous to the Western Kenyan Luo people. The unsigned painting is presented in a gold tone wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.

- wear to edges and corners of frame; light wear to surface; paper residue clung to verso.
