A Velsen Delft hand-painted tobacco jar. This lidded ceramic piece features a round, dark wooden footed pedestal. The body is replete with violet, yellow and green floral and foliate designs on a white ground. The gold tone lid has a turned knob and the jar itself has a bulbous body. It is marked to the base ‘1133 – Delft Polychrome – Handpainted – Made in Holland’.
