An etching on paper titled Die Ersten Schneeglöckchen (The First Snowdrop) by listed German artist Paul Geissler (1881-1965). This intaglio print depicts an elderly man in a fur hat admiring a bowl of cut winter ‘Snowdrop’ flowers. The work is signed and dated 1951 in-plate n the lower right, and hand written text in the lower right margin translates to ‘Original Etching of Prof. Paul Geissler’. It is presented under glass with custom cut layered black and white mats in a black wood frame. There is a hanging wire mounted to the verso.
