A Le Creuset tagine. The Moroccan tagine is the cooking vessel used for preparing the traditional soups and stews of North Africa. The cast iron base can be used for browning meat and vegetables on the stovetop while the cone shaped earthenware lid circulates heat and moisture. This lid is glazed in bright blue and the edge of the base is impressed with the Le Creuset mark.
