Item Details

An original late 19th- to early 20th-century oil painting on board, signed by the artist to the lower left. The piece depicts a figure shoveling snow in a winter landscape, set against a backdrop of overcast skies, modest cottages and a small wooden bridge. The work is signed illegibly in black paint to the lower left. It is presented without glass in a gold tone wooden frame with gesso embellishments, fitted with hanging wire to the verso.

Condition

- minor wear and dust to painting; frame is Fair with cracks, scuffing, abrasions and chips throughout; tears to backing paper.
