Vintage Danish Commemorative Porcelain Plates
Item Details
A trio of vintage Danish commemorative porcelain plates, each with a cobalt blue glaze. The group includes two plates by Bing & Grøndahl. One marks the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, West Germany. It is stamped and numbered to the verso 8000/9472, first issue. The second, dated 1968, is ‘Christmas in Church’, marked and titled inverso. A third plate by Royal Copenhagen marks the 1969 moon landing. It bears the crown and wave mark to the verso. Bing & Grøndahl merged with Royal Copenhagen in 1987.
Condition
- small brown mark to front and dusty residue to back of 1968 plate.
