Chinese Handwoven Wool Kilim Runner Rug

A Chinese handwoven Kilim wool runner. The runner is features a linear central repeating pattern of stepped diamonds with internal checkerboards set within a lattice of angled stripes. The background of the rug is a soft peach and the designs are worked in shades of pale yellow, forest green, pink, sky blue, rose, and sage green. The border consists of wide yellow bands infilled with a pattern of geometric stepped devices in shades of peach, forest green, and pale blue. There are two narrow bands of peach and dark green on the outermost edges of the rug. The ends have been overcast. No label.
