A pair of offset lithographs on paper titled Macacus Inoratus and Cercopithecus Erythrogaster after lithographs by Joseph Wolf (1820-1899) and J. Smit, respectively. These prints depict the titular species of monkeys seated on tree branches. Each has the title printed to the lower center, the artists’ names to the lower left and the publisher to the lower right. Both are presented behind layered mats and glass in painted wood and gesso frames with wire to the verso for hanging.
Condition
- minor stain marks on mat; slight wear to corners of frames; holes to paper backing.
