A semi-antique hand-knotted Mahal wool area rug. This rug features a palette of deep indigo, ivory, rose, gray, and rust, beginning with a central diamond medallion surrounded with latticed floral and foliate motifs to the field, along with rose colored spandrels. The field is framed with a sawtooth and repeated cross guards along with a stylized herati main border in rust. The rug is finished with overcast selvedges and a natural warp ivory fringe. Unlabeled.
