Item Details
A mid-to-late 20th century oil painting on canvas signed ‘Alex’. The Impressionist-inspired piece depicts figures in colorful dresses walking through a European city, rendered in textured impasto strokes in a palette of pastel hues. The work is signed ‘Alex’ to the lower right. it is presented without glass in a bamboo-motif wooden frame with a linen liner to the front, fitted with hanging wire to the verso. The canvas verso includes a label from Creative Galleries of Kalamazoo Michigan.
Condition
- nicks, surface wear, loose joints and scratches to frame, with chipping to finish throughout; no backing paper present; foxing to canvas verso.
