A vintage Hermès of Paris ‘Carrick a Pompe’ by Phillipe Ledoux silk scarf. This Hermès print is centered around The Carrick a Pompe, which was a one person racing carriage and originated in the middle of the nineteenth century. The central theme is atop a navy blue ground, accented by equestrian patterns of interlocking saddles and belts and a yellow gold border. The scarf features hand rolled edges, is hallmarked ‘Hermès. Paris ©’ on the corner of the central illustration and includes maker’s labels reading ‘100% silk’, ‘Made in France’ and ‘Commercial Dry Clean Only’.
