A 1986 limited edition offset lithograph print on paper after a painting by listed Texas artist Robert Summers (b. 1940) titled Legend of the West. The piece depicts a group of cowboys driving a herd of cattle safely across a railroad track as a slow train approaches, set against a Texas desert landscape of brown scrubland, blue skies and pink clouds. The image is dated and signed in plate to the lower right, with a signature in red ink to the lower center left. It is additionally numbered to the lower left as 42 out of a time-limited edition. The print was published by American Masters Foundation, Inc. of Houston, Texas; it includes an ‘Affidavit of Limited Edition’ from the company with information about the print and edition. The print is presented unframed.
