A pair of dry point etchings by John Kelly (American, 1879 – 1962) titled Kawai Hala – Hawaii and Roselani – Hawaii. Kawai Hala depicts a rocky sea shore framed by the limbs of a palm tree. Roselani features a portrait of a Polynesian woman with her eyes half closed and a cloud of black hair. Each print is mounted under glass with an off-white mat in a black wood frame that is wired for hanging. John Kelly was born in California and studied at the Johns Hopkins School of Art. He lived and worked in Hawaii and is known for his paintings and etchings of Hawaiian people and landscapes.

Condition

- toning to both images and mats; stains to mat of Roselani print; minor wear to each frame; small tears to paper on back of frames.
