An Italian Renaissance-style cedar-lined chest, by Lane, Altavista, VA. The walnut finished chest has a rectangular hinged top with molded edge, above a decorative front facade, featuring spit-turned spindles and a center raised panel with applied carving. The chest rests on fluted, vase-turned front legs, on a trestle base. Key not included. Circa 1920-30s.
