Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Qum hunting rug in silk. This pictorial area rug features a color scheme of aqua-blue, navy, olive green, amber ,white, crimson, and pale peach. The field is decorated with scenes of men on horseback hunting stags and battling tigers, amidst delicate sprays of pale blue and peach colored flowers. The main border is bright aqua featuring depictions of leaping deer and spotted cats among trees and flowering plants. The guard borders have a rhodian pattern in olive green,aqua and white. It has kilim skirts and long warp fringe to either end. Unmarked.
