Vintage Octagonal Wood and Brass Korean Locking Hat Boxes
Item Details
A pair of Korean hat boxes. These vintage wood hat boxes with an octagonal shape with etched brass locking plate and reinforced with brass decorative corner hardware throughout each side. With a hinged lid, this type of box was for the storage of a government official’s hat. One includes a traditional style lock and the key has a tassel attached and is in the interior of the box.
Condition
- to fair, there are two locks and two keys, only one lock and key work, the second set has a broken key, chipped veneer and water stain at the top.
