A chromolithograph on paper titled Fontainebleau after a plate from from the 19th century publication Farbige Decorationen by German painter Ernst Ewald (1836-1904). This print depicts the throne room of the 17th century Fontainebleau Palace with an elaborately paneled wall and portrait over the mantel. It is titled to the lower center and marked in the lower left as drawn by Richard Hendorf (1861-1939) and marked with the publisher’s information to the lower right. A card affixed to the verso reproduces the title page from Farbige Decorationen. This print is presented behind an embellished mat and glass in a gold tone frame that is wired for hanging.
