A chromolithograph on paper titled Rom after a plate from from the 19th century publication Farbige Decorationen by German painter Ernst Ewald (1836-1904). This print depicts the ceiling of the Hall of Stories in the Borgia Apartments of the Vatican, painted in the 1490’s by Pinturicchio (1454-1513). It is titled to the lower center and marked in the lower left as drawn by A. Grimmer, marked to scale in the center, and marked with the printer’s information to the lower right. A card affixed to the verso gives information about the print. This print is presented behind an embellished mat and glass in a gold tone frame that is wired for hanging.

- sticky residue to paper on verso; edge wear to frame.
