A needlepoint textile. This piece depicts an abstract composition featuring an organic shape in shades of brown thread with an off-white ground that has pale gradations of blue within it. Four different types of stitches are used to create a new texture unique to each color. It is initialed ‘MWG’ and dated 1970 to the lower left corner and presented in a silver tone metal frame that is wired to the verso for hanging,
