A hand-knotted Indian Perepedil area rug. This wool area rug has a color palette burnt orange, olive green, white, tan, umber and deep brown. The burnt orange colored field is decorated with a pattern of perepedil rams head motifs, abstract bird symbols, crenelated diamond guls, and lobbed flowers. The main border features boxed flower blossoms in orange and green against a cream colored field. It has white colored warp fringe to either end and it is marked to the reverse ‘Made in India’.
