Item Details
A set of two circa 1960s replica oil paintings on canvas board after works by listed California artist Margo Alexander (1894 – 1965). Each depicts a figure in a bucolic country landscape, rendered in hues of yellow, green, tan, pink and brown. Each is signed ‘Margo’ in paint to the lower left and presented under glass in a beveled wooden frame. One frame backing includes information about the painting.
Condition
- to Fair; toning and fading present to both images; corner of glass missing from one image; minor wear, loose joints and scuffing to frames; tears to backings; no hanging hardware.
