An oil on canvas painting by Paul Berçot (French, 1898 – 1970) of a family group. Painted in subdues tones, it depicts a man, two women and a girl posed standing together. It is signed ‘Bercot’ to the lower left and mounted with a pale gray wood liner in a carved wooden frame with a gray and gilt finish. Paul Berçot was a member of the School of Paris art movement and known for non-objective abstract compositions, and figural abstract paintings of family groups.
